Do you have kids at home binge-watching television or playing video games this summer? Why not get them out of the house and take them to the golf course? Children can begin golfing as early as age 2, although most don’t begin to pick up skills until age 5 or 6. Learning how to golf helps to develop many useful skills, plus the Eagle Point Golf Course makes it affordable and fun. We believe golfing benefits people of all ages, and here’s why we encourage kids to play golf at Eagle Point Golf Club.
Here are five reasons you should bring your kids to the golf course:
- Golfing helps to stretch and strengthen muscles, particularly the core muscles supporting the spine.
- The rules of golf reinforce positive etiquette and how to value traditions within a sport.
- Learning a new skill means accomplishments and disappointments–and learning how to control the emotions of each.
- Golfing promotes continual self-improvement.
- They enjoy time in the outdoors with friends and family.
The Eagle Point Golf Course has affordable junior rates to encourage kids to play golf:
Junior are youth age 17 and under.
- 18 holes: $15
- 9 holes: $10
Plus, for junior with a YOUTH ON COURSE membership card, the rate is reduced to only $5 after 11AM on weekdays and 12 noon on weekends! Learn more about the Youth on Course program here.
